Excursions

There are quite a few opportunities for exploration from Thessaloniki in Greece you’ll want to consider. One of the most popular is the trip to Mt. Olympus. Home to the Greek gods it is a worthy challenge to climbers from all over and a beautiful sight to see. It is located about an hour and half outside of Thessaloniki and well worth the drive. Vergina is another popular excursion. It is home to the tomb of the father of Alexander the Great (Philip II of Macedon). There is also a museum here where treasures unearthed during the excavations are housed. Don’t forget the boat excursions that can take you out to sea for a day or take you to one of the popular Greek holiday islands nearby where you can explore the beaches and/or other sites to enjoy on these islands.
