Ski resort - Alpe d’Huez

One of the top 5 resorts in France, Alpe d’Huez has loads to offer. It is a high level ski resort which catches both sun and snow. It offers almost perfect conditions and challenges for all levels of skiers or snowboarders. It is very well organised, with the easy slopes for beginners near to the ski resort and the bigger slopes for the experts, higher up so the beginners won’t drift onto it by mistake.

Alpe d’Huez has lots of pistes & also 2 fantastic snow parks. There are also plenty to do for Non-skiers with activities such as ice driving, sleigh rides & husky sledding, Alpe d’Huez literally offers something for everyone.

This amazing holiday ski package includes staying at the excellent Hotel Bel Alpe located right in the heart of this amazing ski resort, meaning at the end of the day, you can ski right back to the hotel door.

Hotel Bel Alpe Description:

The Hotel Bel Alpe is a chalethotel, so close to the slopes you step outside the ski room door, shuffle about 5 metres and you are there.

The public areas are compact and friendly and include bar, lounge and dining areas. The hotel offers a half board basis which includes breakfast and evening meals.

There are 16 rooms at the Hotel Bel Alpe, spread across 5 floors and include 10 twin rooms, 3 triples and 3 four bedded rooms with bunks. In the larger rooms the extra beds are in a separate sleeping area close to the entrance. All rooms have en-suite facilities with separate toilets and bathrooms and in each room the bathrooms all include a bath. All rooms have also have balconies.

Ski Passes:

In Alpe d’Huez, the best ski pass to buy is the ‘Visalp’ ski pass which includes free entry into the outdoor swimming pool, entry to the ice rink, night skiing, sports centres and access to the museum. The 6 day Visalp ski pass price in 2009/10 will be 210€ with discounts for early and late season. For under 13s and over 65s the cost of the Visalp pass is 158€. Under 5s and over 72s get free tickets. A basic pass without all the extra features is 18€ less.

There is also a wide selection of day passes, family passes, beginner passes etc.
