Holidayshed customers can have complete peace of mind when booking our ABTA holidays. As a regulatory body, ABTA maintains a strict Code of Conduct that ABTA Travel Agents must abide to. ABTA members agree to be bound by the Code which governs the relationship between you the customer and Holidayshed.
Formed in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies, ABTA - The Travel Association - now represents over 5,000 ABTA Travel Agents and over 900 ABTA tour operators, throughout Great Britain. ABTAs main aims are to maintain high standards of trading practice for the benefit of its members, the travel industry as a whole, and the consumers that they serve.
Previously known as Association of British Travel Agents, its name was changed on 1 July 2007 to ABTA, The Travel Association to reflect its wider representation of the travel industry.
On 1 July 2008 it merged with the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO). The amalgamation of ABTA and the FTO has created an even more powerful and authoritative voice for the travel industry.
